Our ministry was established in May of 1978. Mark Bales sings lead and plays guitar. Nancy Bales McGinnis writes most of the songs we sing and shares lead singing duties with her brother, Mark.  Nancy's husband Ray McGinnis sings baritone and plays the bass guitar along with their soundtracks.

In September of 2003 Good News won the National Quartet Convention Talent Search with the song "God's In Control" which earned us a spot on the Son Sound Music Group Platinum Label.  "God's In Control" was written by Nancy right after the terrible tragedy in New York in 2001. Our last single from the "Good News Live" project was "God's Painting" and that song has blessed many souls with it's positive message. We recently finished our "Bridge of Grace" project with Son Sound Music Group and the single "Bridge of Grace" was just delivered to radio stations.
